How to Tell When Your Man is Lying

I am not suppose to write about this here because I'm only helping guys become aware of the things that they usually do unconsciously when lying. But I think it's more important for women to know when their boyfriend or husband is not telling the truth. Here are some of the signs that he's lying:

1. Less eye contact, or he looks up and to the left

Anybody who's not telling the truth could not look at a person straight to the eye, unless he's expert in lying. Also, watch out as he looks up as if he's trying to think or remember something, and then to the left. There's a great chance that he's just inventing his answer.

2. Restless

He shifts on his chair if he's sitting, or move back and forth when he's standing. You would also see signs of nervousness, like tapping of his fingers. If he's doing at least one of these while explaining things to you, then he is most probably lying.

3. Rubs his nose or ears.

It's understandable if he have allergies, but if he doesn't have any, then be suspicious with what he's saying. Blood normally goes up to the face when someone is being deceptive. The ears and nose then becomes warm and itchy causing a person to unconsciously touch or rub it.

4. Touch his mouth with his hand.
When a guy touches his mouth or lips while speaking is a sign that he's trying to hide something. This unconscious gesture of blocking the mouth with a hand means that he doesn't want to tell the truth, and he's being careful with what he's saying. Another sign that he's lying is when he licks his lips and look away. This is usually followed by looking down and to the right.

5. Furious

A person who's lying would try to find a way to avoid confrontation. When a guy is guilty and in denial, during your conversation, he would get mad and say something threatening to you. This is one of his ways to probably get out of the situation.

Kid's Dyeing

On my way home today, I passed by my neighbor's house and saw a boy about 7 years old sitting outside, at the side of the street, waiting for his mom to wash his dyed hair. I can't believe a boy at such a young age would wish to change his natural hair color. I've known several kids who wouldn't even allow their parents or anybody to cut their hair. I walked to my apartment thinking of the reasons why that little boy had his hair dyed. Does he have white hair already that he needs to hide? I think that would be funny. Will he be joining a contest that he needs to change his looks to be more attractive? That sounds reasonable but still wrong. Is it his parents who decided to change the color of his hair? This is possibly correct. Whatever the reason is, the decision is still dependent on his parents. The fact that it happens on their home means that they've permitted it. I came to a conclusion that there are parents who do not really think of the welfare of their kids. Applying hair dyes should be done with caution. And doing it to a young child is inappropriate. Not only that it damages the hair and hair cuticles and follicles, but it also contains chemicals which may be harmful to one's health. I remember when I was still working as a nurse when an unconscious woman was brought to the emergency room because she had her hair dyed in a salon only to find out that she's allergic to it. She was intubated and brought directly to the Intensive Care Unit. She survived, but her experience taught me to be cautious when applying hair dyes. It seems like a normal thing for most adult, but it could create a big problem to your health. It's also dangerous when the chemical comes in contact with the person's eyes. The chemicals in it, like ammonia and peroxide, are abrasive and damaging. Some noted side effects of hair dyes are scalp irritation, hair breakage, hair loss, and allergic reactions (including itching, swelling of the face, and difficulty breathing). I can't think of any valid reasons that this kid's mom or dad would have his hair dyed when one of the precautionary measures when dyeing is to keep it away from children. I know that this kid is under the responsibility of his parents, and is no longer my business. I just can't help but worry about the safety of an innocent kid being in the supervision of ignorant parents.

Why I quit my job

A few days ago, I decided to quit my job and I'm really happy with my decision. On the day that I processed my clearance, I began to reminisce the time when I was still an applicant waiting patiently for my turn to be interviewed and to take several tests. I was pretty excited then. After hearing the good news that I got accepted, I was delighted and satisfied at the same time.

When I got my contract, it turned out that the salary is lower than my previous job, with little allowances, and poor benefits. I was quite disappointed, but I still stayed positive.

It's only now that I realized that I actually had several signs not to work there, but I haven't paid attention. Here are some of them:

1.) Low salary

2.) Small workplace (no sleeping quarters, 2 comfort rooms with only 2 cubicles inside, small pantry that serves both as waiting and sleeping areas, no training room)

3.) The operations floor is not appropriately constructed for work. The ceiling is too low, and the air conditioning causes headaches to people near it.

4.) They do not provide parking spaces for employees. You can only park in the street outside. Inconsistent rules.

5.) Only 1 or 2 people who are in the position can speak very well (you know what I mean...)

6.) NO PERKS

7.) The senior manager seems to have a totally different world.

8.) And, the first TL that I had looks odd, with marks of slashes not only on the wrist but on both inner part of his arms.

I miss my friends but I don't worry that much because we can still communicate and see each other if we want to.
Now that I'm no longer working there, I feel serene and free.

Mother's Day

A mother is very important in every child’s life. Nobody can be more nurturing and patient as she can. Her selflessness is truly impressive. I have friends who told me that when they became mothers, their priorities totally shifted into satisfying the needs of their children. This is the reason why most women change a lot physically when they’re already mothers. Aside from the fact that the body changes after giving birth, women also go through many difficulties and becomes more busy taking care of her child rather than herself. Being a mother is not an easy task, but it’s the most fulfilling. Most mothers have very hard times and yet you’ll never see them giving up. They will still continue with their responsibilities, loving their children unconditionally.

There are a lot of reasons why we should celebrate this special with our moms. Each of us has our own stories to tell how we felt the love and care of our mothers. In my case, my mother’s birthday is May 9, which usually falls on the day that Mother’s Day is celebrated. It’s sad not to be with her on that important day, but knowing how understanding and appreciative she is, just makes me feel better.

“The woman's task is not easy--no task worth doing is easy--but in doing it, and when she has done it, there shall come to her the highest and holiest joy known to mankind; and having done it, she shall have the reward prophesied in Scripture; for her husband and her children, yes, and all people who realize that her work lies at the foundation of all national happiness and greatness, shall rise up and call her blessed.” (Taken from the speech given by President Roosevelt in Washington on March 13, 1905, before the National Congress of Mothers.)

Earth Day

Earth Day is celebrated every 22nd of April to inspire awareness and appreciation of the environment. Like most other world issues, we should also be focusing more on protecting our environment. We are now encountering an increasing number of perils compared in the past. People are becoming more abusive of the environment causing global warming and a lot of other things that we ourselves are directly affected.

In celebration of the Earth Day, I’d like to share with you some helpful tips to save the environment.

  • Recycle. Find ways to reuse things before you throw them away. You can also sell those recyclable items to junk shops.
  • Learn to segregate your garbage.
  • Use biodegradable materials instead of plastics, styrofoams, etc., whenever possible.
  • Use recyclable bags when buying groceries.
  • Minimize the use of electricity. Remember to UNPLUG appliances when not in use.
  • Walk rather than using your car if your destination is just a few blocks away.
  • Encourage your friends and neighbors to practice car pooling to help reduce heavy traffic and air pollution.
  • Report smoke belcher/s to proper authorities.
  • Plant a tree.
  • Conserve water.
  • Help spread environmental awareness through social networking (twitter, facebook,etc.).

Do what you can to help save the environment. Simple things could make a huge difference.

iPad

In April 2010, Apple released the revolutionary iPad. It has a 25-cm (9.7- inch) touch screen LCD, with fingerprint resistant and scratch-resistant glass. It connects to the web via Wi-Fi and 3G. One unique feature of this devise is that you have an option to view the whole pages to portrait and landscape, and whenever you rotate the iPad to the latter, the page you’re viewing rotates too. This gives you a unique way to see your email. Holding it in landscape allows you to see the messages on your inbox, with one opened email showing a two-line preview of its contents. If you’d like to focus on one email on the other hand, turn your iPad to portrait. A keyboard similar to your regular computer appears on the screen when you compose a message. You can search the web by flicking your finger up and down the screen. iPad is ideal for surfing the web, watching videos , and reading e-books. It is slick and easier to carry compared to your laptops.

What would this new technology replace? It’ll not replace your iPhone because it’s not a phone and it won’t fit in your pocket. It will not replace your computer either because of its limited features. It does not have a USB port, Adobe flash support, & multi-tasking OS. iPad can’t hold as many photos, movies, and songs compared to most laptops. It brought me to conclusion that buying an iPad is just being trendy. I don’t think that someone needs an iPad when he already has a computer and a phone.
